Consultations play a vital role in the service delivery process, serving as the initial stage before actual service provision. They are essential in various fields, from medical consultations to the first meetings with a wedding planner. At Adah’s Beauty, consultations form a fundamental part of our operational structure. These initial interactions help us build rapport with our clients, understand their needs better, and improve service quality during their appointments. During these consultations, we cover a range of topics including hair extensions, styling preferences, pricing, and addressing any questions or concerns from both sides. This proactive approach not only streamlines the appointment process but also maximizes the efficient use of time and resources.

Our consultation fee amounts to $60.00, and this fee is non-refundable. Upon scheduling an appointment, the deposit will be subtracted from the total cost of the chosen style. The outstanding balance is required to be paid on the appointment day prior to receiving the service.

However, if you cannot make a one-on-one consultation visit, please give us a call. We have other options to better serve you.

*Feel free to set up a consultation appointment below and give us a call to confirm and make payments.

Once you submit your form, we will respond within 24 hours.  However, If you do not hear from us within that time frame, please give us a call immediately and some one will discuss your appointment information with you.

PREPING BEFORE YOUR  HAIR APPOINTMENT

In many cases, not everyone who comes in for hair braiding or weaving is fully prepared on the day of their appointment, which is completely understandable. Life can be challenging, especially for women, balancing work, family responsibilities, and the desire to look beautiful. The phrase “MY HAIR” resonates with all of us ladies, especially with my Black Queens and Princesses. At Adah’s Beauty, we are always here to alleviate your stress regarding “Your Hair” type. Our goal is to always enhance your inner beauty and make you feel like the Queen or Princess that you truly are. Or King is Prince. Rest assured, when you step into my salon, you will leave with a smile of confidence because “We Put A Beautiful Smile On You and Beauty doesn’t have to be painful.”

Preparing for hair braiding or weaving can be quite challenging, especially if you have a previous hairstyle that needs to be removed before your appointment. Additionally, you will need to shampoo, condition, and blow-dry your hair. This entire process can take hours to complete if you choose to do it yourself, depending on the length and texture of your hair. Some individuals begin taking down their braids a few days before their next appointment but may not finish in time. It’s not ideal, unless you can do it efficiently and quickly without causing any breakage.

However, If you decide to come prepared before your  appointment, the following procedures must be followed:

  1. Previous hair styles  should be completely removed and hair properly combed out, removing all knots and build up to prevents tangling and breakage.
  2. Shampoo, conditioned and combed through thoroughly before blow drying. Apply 2 or 3 drops of lotion or oil to damp hair before blow drying using a blow dryer with an attached comb.
  3. Do not apply anything to your hair after drying for various reasons which we will discuss with you when you come in for a consult.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us. We are just a phone call  or email away.

Adah’s Beauty provides takedown services for clients who require them, along with a complimentary shampoo and conditioning service afterward. Please schedule an appointment for these services, as we do not accept walk-ins. This policy helps us allocate enough time, energy, and preparation for your new hairstyle. We do not remove hairstyles that are in progress, nor do we offer takedown services for styles we did not create. These services are exclusively available to our clients. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

NOTE: Before washing your hair, whether you are removing braids, weaves, extensions, or wearing your natural hair, it is essential to detangle and comb it properly to eliminate any build-up from the roots.

Additionally, we will offer guidance on caring for and maintaining your lovely and distinctive hairstyle both during and after our services. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have during or after your appointment.

A few instructions on “How to Shampoo Your Braids/Weaves”

Shampooing Braids or Weaves can sometimes be a very challenging and complicating process, especially if you do not have any idea of what to do. Many of our clients usually asks us these questions. ” DO I NEED TO WASH MY BRAIDS?”  or “HOW DO I WASH MY BRAIDS?” Yes ladies, for the former, we need to wash our braids at least once a month twice if you decide to keep them longer than two months. For the latter, continue reading…

ALL hairstyles with extensions needs to be shampooed by a professional hair stylist to protect the style to last longer. However, if you decide to do it yourself, below are some instructions to follow especially if you have micro braids where in most  cases your natural hair is not braided all the way down.

These instructions are for weaves and Micro Braids:

  • Comb hair or run fingers through several times.
  • Sectioned hair into four or five sections and braid only the loose hair of the extensions. Braids must be very loose about 2 inches away from the scalp to be able to massage your scalp when shampooing.
  • Hold the ends of  braids with small rubber bands or hair bands to prevent from unraveling. Shampoo as usual .

More instructions will be provided the day of your appointment.
