The African Lady

I made this outfit about a week ago after being turned down by so many taylors and seamstreses. I had a few classes in sewing 17 years ago and made my first dress and table linens for my wedding and events planning business. However, during these past years, I will coordinate colors of fabrics, do decorations for weddings and events, and design clothings especially African prints, laces, and for someone else to make. Every time I had a dress made everyone loves it. I knew then I had a talent and passion for fashion, and never take it very seriously. After being turned down so many times, I decided it time to get that sewing machine out of the garage and start doing what I love. So, I did, and made my first African outfit shown above. “Yeah! Bravo to me”.
What I’m trying to say is, whenever we set our minds to do anything we will do and achieve good results with God’s help. If, only we can put those phones down for just few hours a day and do something positive in our lives. This is an example to me. I’m a hair stylist and and a Wedding and Event planner at the same time. When I am not doing any of the two, I’m on my phone playing candy crush, pet rescue saga, or on social media. However, I’m not diputing that’s a bad thing to do. sometimes we need a little relaxation to enjoy what the world of technology has given us.
If I had pursued my talent and passion in sewing few years back I would have been making my own dresses and saving money then. I had to wait for some dissapointments to discover that “I can really do this”.

I even made a matching outfit from left over fabric.
